Villa Cha Cha. A touch of luxury on Khao San road

villa-chacha-poolGoing home is always the worst bit of traveling. Yes I was looking forward to seeing everybody but after a hard two weeks of moving around Thailand and some epic parties, a 24 hour trip back to the UK was not filling my with excitement!

I decided to spend my last two days in my favourite place in Bangkok, Khao San Road. This backpacker haven and crazy street has everything I Villa Cha Cha Poolcould want to see out my final days in Bangkok. Cheap, amazing Thai food, market stalls that sell everything you could ever want and crazy bars and clubs. I was tired though. Tired from all the partying and 10 hour buses I had been doing. I needed some rest before my long trip home. So when Villa Cha Cha, a beautiful boutique hotel 2 minutes walk from Khao San Road, invited me to stay with them, I jumped at the chance. Located on Tani Road, the road just parallel to Khao San it is a perfect central location with an amazing relaxing bar and pool area.

When we arrived we were treated like 5 star guests. The rooms start at just 1200 THB for two people, that is just £12 each and are amazing. The bed was huge and so comfy. The room had air con, cable TV and the cleanest, hottest shower I have had in Bangkok.

The decor was beautiful. Authentically Thai and superbly designed. It is so clean, light and airy.

I managed to top up my tan by the pool for an hour the day before I flew home, this is very hard thing for a backpacker to do in a city like Bangkok.

The food was AMAZING. Backing on to a restaurant that sold both Thai and western food, the smell of fresh pasta made me want it for breakfast. Well it was 11am by the time I got up from my comfy, king sized bed. When you are next in Khao San try the pasta!

The WiFi was a little slow in the room but the lounge area downstairs is so comfy and quiet. The staff were so friendly and helpful and the reception is open 24/7 in case you need anything. This was the perfect place for me to end my trip. If you are in Bangkok and fancy something a bit more luxuious than a dorm bed I cannot recommend Villa Cha Cha Highly enough!
